Captain Sean C. Meehan, Dental Corps, United States Navy was appointed Dean of the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland on June 13, 2016. Dr. Meehan is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine and completed his Oral Medicine training as a Dental Staff Fellow at the National Institute of Dental Research/National Institutes of Health in 1996. He achieved Diplomate status of the American Board of Oral Medicine in 1997, the same year he was commissioned in the United States Navy. Captain Meehan has held a variety of operational, overseas and educational leadership positions in the Navy Dental Corps leading up to his present appointment.
