He was a highly respected contributor to the field of oral medicine, an AAOM member, and the editor of Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology Oral Radiology for 14 years. He was a diplomate of both the American Board of Oral Pathology and the American Board of Oral Medicine. Jim was the founding author of Little and Falace's " Dental Management of the Medically Compromised Patient" and continued to be active for nine editions. Nelson Rhodus, DMD, MPH

Dr. James W Little passed away on 05/19/2023 at the age of 88 from complications of multiple myeloma. He was Professor Emeritus at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and the Division Director of Oral Medicine, Oral Diagnosis, and Oral Maxillofacial Radiology (1982-1994) before myself and my mentor as well.
