Job Description:   
The Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine Division of Oral Medicine, Pathology and Radiology University of Missouri School of Dentistry invites qualified applicants and nominations for a Clinical-Track position at the Clinical Assistant/Clinical Associate Professor level in Oral Medicine/Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction of dental students, dental hygiene students and graduate students/residents, scholarly activity and service. The department has an active mentorship program and will provide opportunities for clinical practice and the development of independent and/or collaborative research programs. Salary and level of academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Special Instructions:  
Candidates are required to have a DDS/DMD or equivalent and either be Board eligible or certified in Oral Medicine and have a commitment to teaching, clinical dentistry, research/scholarly activity and service. For non US DDS candidates with US Training and Board eligibility in Oral Medicine, an internationally-trained faculty DDS program is available after an initial period of service. Specific responsibilities include pre-and post-doctoral dental and dental hygiene classroom and clinical teaching in content areas related to oral medicine. Specific educational application of biomedical science to patient care is expected. Qualified candidates may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

We seek an individual with a strong commitment to predoctoral and graduate clinical education, scholarship and service, and patient care. Candidates should have a D.D.S. or D.M.D. and the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan. A State of Michigan limited academic dental license may be available for qualified candidates. The Department seeks individuals with demonstrated excellence in both clinical and didactic teaching, a commitment to dental education and service, evidence of scholarly activity. One year experience in providing care to oral medicine patients in required.
