CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The American Academy of Oral Medicine (AAOM) invite submissions for oral and poster presentations at the annual conference, taking place from April 22-25, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. Abstracts should not have been accepted for publication by a journal prior to the AAOM abstract submission deadline. Abstracts previously presented at other conferences within the past 12 months, but not yet published, are also eligible for submission.

The Abstracts Committee will review and select submissions for poster and oral presentations at the conference. Abstracts accepted for oral presentation will be published in the Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology journal.

ALL ABSTRACTS MAY BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY THROUGH THIS SECURE LINK UNTIL DECEMBER 1, 2025 11:59 PM PACIFIC STANDARD TIME.

Please note: If the deadline is extended, abstracts submitted after the original deadline (December 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST) will not be eligible for awards. Furthermore, submissions received by the original deadline will be given priority for acceptance over those submitted during any extended period.

If you created or had a user account in ConfTool last year, your user account should stay the same. Please attempt to use the same username and password as last year. Please contact [email protected] if you have any problem logging in using your last year’s username and password.

Decisions will be communicated to corresponding authors through ConfTool by January 12, 2026. All updates regarding the status of your abstract, whether accepted or rejected, will be provided exclusively via ConfTool.

Registration for the conference is expected to open around November 2025. If accepted, the presenting author must register for the conference by the early bird deadline ( registration details will be available on the AAOM 2026 conference website) and attend the scheduled poster or oral session. Abstracts without a registered presenter by the deadline, or if the presenter is absent during the session, will be withdrawn and will not be eligible for publication in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral Radiology journal.

Questions concerning abstracts should be directed to [email protected].

For international attendees:

Please check with the US embassy in your country concerning visa requirements and consider that there have been significant administrative delays and plan accordingly. Please remember that abstract acceptance communications will be delivered only via Conftool in January 2026. The AAOM does not provide any travel stipends or administrative support for visa applications.
