Becoming a Sherlock in CBCT Interpretation: Hands-on CBCT Workshop

This course aims to provide the oral healthcare practitioners with the basics in CBCT manipulation and diagnosis. Through a hands-on approach, the participant will navigate through anonymized cases of maxillofacial cone beam CT studies to identify the major salient finding as well as incidental findings. Potentially Inappropriate Medications and Drug Interactions in the Geriatric Population

Synopsis
This talk will highlight the medications prescribed by dental practitioners that should be avoided, or prescribed with caution, in the geriatric population.

Learning Objectives

  1. Provide an overview about BEER’s list and the other current relevant literature.
  2. Illustrate the rational for the inappropriateness of specific medications for geriatric patients.
  3. Suggest a list of safer alternatives based on clinical trials conducted in this populations.
